Mr Jones Watches
We have seen the process of making different watches .
The designs come from different designers, some of which they contacted on their ins.
There are different ways of driving the watch, such as purely mechanical, battery operated
There is an interesting machine for colouring the dial, which can be pressed several times to make the colour more intense. The part is magnetic and the little box with the paint sucks onto the plate to make up the colour.
The watch also has many different constructions with different ways of moving the hands inside. Some are skeletal incisors that keep turning, there are actually a couple of gold teeth for 30min, and the pool themed watch is also interesting, with a little yellow duck for the minute hand and a child's foot for the hour hand.
I find that even a small dial can have a lot of scope for creativity. The movement of the watch hand can be reminiscent of many other movements. For example, the sunrise and sunset, the movement of the sun is also an arc.
And this little workshop grew out of the founder's very first school assignment. At first he made his own project about the table and then started to want to continue with it. Then he contacted a Chinese manufacturer to make them, but frequent changes needed to be mailed and there was a long wait, so he wanted to buy his own equipment and make them himself. Then he slowly learned on his own and started the creation of this studio.
His experience gave me a lot to think about and I realised that my own ability to learn is important. He had no previous background in watch design studies but could learn so much about watch making on his own. And he persisted in making them.
Flux
We met a csm student in this studio and she said: At school it was more about learning how to design than making. So here she makes something herself. The studio has many sections, one for each person.
Weber Industries Studio
This studio was working on some designer orders and I saw that they seemed to be using some of the tools that they had assembled themselves and had a lot of unseen tools that looked good to use. I wish I could make things in a studio like this.
I heard that the manager of this studio started out by working around the clock by himself, seven days a week, to make things. Then it slowly expanded to the size it is now, and it was a lot of hard work, and if it hadn't been done out of great love, it wouldn't have lasted as long as it has. And starting to need some start-up capital would have required him to do a lot of different jobs.
Blenheim Forge
They make chef's knives to Santoku knifves. There are a lot of tools here. I first saw knives being made。
Jane Muir
It's a studio under a bridge and ceramicist says she's been here for over 20 years and that she sells some of her work through the gallery and some of it is bought by clients who come to the studio. Some are bought as gifts for family and friends, as they all look very homely.

This is about'time'. It's really interesting ,there are a lot of Projectors ，and no screens.
The structure is made up of a large number of paper.
Some of the videos convey intimate ,mundane experiences,and spectacular geological events .
We experience time and space today.
I think the place -- peckham rye station is really suitable to this sculpture.
In this tour I saw many different workshops and made me want to learn more about different crafts, it was a very inspiring experience.
